Bitcoin sizing in a 60/40 portfolio was tested by adding bitcoin to a conventional allocation of global equities and core bonds. A rules-based trend sleeve toggled between bitcoin and cash using trend signals related to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Trend Indicator framework. This trend sleeve was tested within the same backtest of the conventional 60/40 portfolio. The sleeve used the trend signals to switch the allocation between holding bitcoin and holding cash.
